This policy explains what happens to information when you use Medical Bill Map (medicalbillmap.com).

The short version

You do not need an account. When you download, copy or print one of our letters or the checklist, we save only your name, your phone or email (if you gave one), your state and which document it was. We never save anything about your health care or your bills. We do not sell information. We run a cookie-free visit counter to see how many people use the site.

The letters, the checklist and the tools

The letters and the checklist work in your browser, and the PDF, Word and text files are created on your device. When you download, copy or print one, we save: the name you entered, the phone number or email you entered (if any), the state you chose and the type of document. We also record the page, the date and time, and your approximate location (country and state) based on your IP address.

Medical details are never saved or sent. We do not save diagnoses, treatments or services, the name of the doctor, hospital, clinic or collector, account or policy numbers, dollar amounts, dates of service or any other date, your address, the other person's address, the items you checked or anything else you typed in your own words. Those details stay in your browser and in the file you create. We do not save anything you type until you download, copy or print.

The poverty-level calculator and the "Is this debt too old?" checker work only in your browser. The income, household size, dates and choices you enter are not saved or sent.

We use the saved information to understand how many people in each state use our tools and to improve our guides. We do not sell it, and we do not share it except with service providers that host our site and database (Cloudflare), or if the law requires it. We keep it for up to three years, then delete it. To see or delete it, email hello@robinclaim.com with the name you used, and we will respond within 30 days.

Information collected automatically

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you request, to deliver the page and protect the site.

We run our own visit counter. It does not use cookies. It keeps a random visit identifier in your browser's local storage. For each visit it records the pages viewed, the site you came from, the time spent on each page, clicks on buttons and links, your IP address, your country, state and city, and your device and browser type. We keep visit records for 5 years and then delete them. We do not use Google Analytics on this site.

Email, children and your rights

If you email us, we use your message only to reply. Please do not send us medical or billing details by email. This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. You can ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Residents of states such as California may have additional rights.
